I've got a couple riding buddies out that way--it's beautiful, especially this time of year.  What part of western NC are you in?  Is Uwharrie west for you?

Next weekend is the Uwharrie rides.

Here's two late-season rides out west, unfortunately they're both on the same day, but there's some distance between them so pick which is closest:

If you're anywhere near Asheville check out the Blue Ridge Bike Club and don't miss their annual Beating the Bounds ride.
