Did you know that the MS Bike Tour is listed in the N&O as one of the biggest events of the year on its “Big 7 of 07" list. Here’s what Joe Miller of the N&O had to say about the MS Bike Tour
“MS 150
Take a weekend drive in the Jordan Lake area beginning mid-March and you'll no doubt see a healthy contingent of cyclists. Odds are, the bulk of them are training for the MS150. The 150 represents the number of miles covered during two days of cycling loop routes that begin and end in New Bern, a seemingly daunting distance made doable by the flat terrain and friendly, festive rest stops every two miles or so. Last year, 1,500 riders raised $1.1 million for the Eastern North Carolina Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Dates to mark: Sept. 8-9.
Place to be: New Bern.”
The Kickoff Ride 2007 is the first in the “Start to Finish MS” Bike Tour Training Series.” Check out the NMSS website often (
www.msbike.org) for additional training rides that will be offered throughout the season culminating in the “not to be missed” MS Bike Tour 2007 taking place in New Bern on September 8th and 9th.
So start your training off right with the MS Kickoff Ride 2007

Stay well and safe - Blanche
